Oak house is a newly developed residential unit; the site was designed and developed to meet the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and complex behavioural needs.

The home supports 8 individuals aged from 18 years old, the accommodation offers 5 self-contained flats on the ground floor with additional communal facilities to create a sociable environment; whilst on the 1st floor there is a shared flat for 3 individuals.

The single occupancy flats are designed to offer support to individuals who can find living in shared facilities difficult but also enjoy social activities, the set up  allows each individual their own self contained flats and also the option of communal living with others as not to create social isolation.  The first floor shared flat offers spacious living areas, bedrooms and multiple bathrooms.

Along with the other homes within Shelton Care, Oak house home offers creative support to individuals delivered by a dedicated and highly trained staff team who have extensive experience in supporting individuals with complex needs.  The home encourages personal development in independent living and empowerment to live a fulfilled life and achieve personal goals.

We pride ourselves in our supportive culture, we actively encourage continuing professional development (CPD) with all our staff. The organisation continues to develop it’s facilities on campus within the staff training centre.
